Workshops & Retreats 2025

I create my art in response to the coloured earth at my feet and the geological formations around me. I work in tune with the seasons. My paintings begin from a place of free and loose expression before the hand of the gently artist guides the way. My workshops provide the opportunity to learn about natural earth and botanical colour and always have a sense of flow and playfulness at their heart.

Many of my workshops relate to the seasonal shift of the year and occur on dates that signify a period of change as the seasons progress. The sights, sounds and scents of the season as well as the earth itself shall all have their part to play. 22nd Earth: Art: Mindfulness workshop at Flax Bourton Church celebrating the Spring Equinox

20th Earth: Art: Mindfulness workshop at Flax Bourton Church celebrating the Summer Solstice. The natural colours we will use will relate to summer and will include some seasonal botanical colours as well as my earthier tones. You will also have access to some Egyptian Blue and some genuine Gold Mica. This will be an evening of exploration with some gentle guidance. The sun and early summer flowers will be our inspiration.

July

19th Learn how to make paint from local earth pigments. This is a very hands on workshop during which you will learn about where natural earth, mineral and botanical colours come from and how to process earth to make watercolour paint.
